Each year, the Altman Program unites a diverse team of faculty, students, and distinguished visitors for an intense,
yearlong study of a salient public issue.
Research clusters unite faculty from across many departments and programs. These small interdisciplinary groups meet regularly
to discuss emerging scholarship and work-in progress.
Faculty are invited to start new clusters or join existing groups.
The Humanities Center provides funding and technological resources for a significant digital humanities project, in close partnership
with the libraries' Center for Digital Scholarship.
Each year, the Humanities Center provides up to $10,000 to a faculty
team proposing an innovative scholarly project.
The Humanities Center hosts interdisciplinary programs that aid faculty in navigating the worlds of publishing. These include a book proposal workshop held annually in January, talks by academic editors, and a workshop on writing for the public.
