Public talk on literary and cultural activism about climate change with reception.

Dr. Shelley Streeby is an author and educator whose interdisciplinary research is situated at the intersections of American Studies; Literary and Cultural Studies; Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies; and Critical Ethnic Studies. She is Professor of Literature and Ethnic Studies at the University of California, San Diego, and Director of the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop. She is the author of Radical Sensations (Duke UP,  2013) and American Sensations (California UP, 2002) and a coeditor of Empire and the Literature of Sensation (Rutgers UP, 2007).
