Human Sex trafficking in the U.S. is considered to be a hidden epidemic. Current statistics suggest that there has been a 35 percent increase in human sex trafficking in the past two years in U.S.; Ohio ranks 5th in the country in terms of the number of victims involved in sex trafficking; with Toledo, Ohio identified as the 4th highest ranking city in the nation in terms of sex trafficking of children and teenagers.

Our goal in assembling the event is to raise awareness and inspire students, faculty and community members to advocate for victims of human sex trafficking.
