As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, there is still a great deal to learn about the significance of the document in our nation's history and in the world's continued struggles for freedom today. MIami University's Center for Civics, Culture, and Society welcomes all students, staff, and faculty to learn about the global impact and enduring legacy of the Declaration of Independenence. The ideals of liverty, equality, and self-government shaped revolutionary movements, political thought, and literary traditions worlkdwide.
