Premiere campus screening of the final cut of Bittersweet: Black College Life at a Predominantly White Institution (102 min.), followed by a conversation with campus leaders of Black student organizations. This screening is a kickoff event for the Midwest History Association conference and the Altman Symposium. The film chronicles the history of resource offices for Black students and activist movements on campus dating to 1970, with a focus on the Black Student Action Association and the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion, which closed in May of 2025 to comply with the passage of SB 1. Student panelists will reflect on what this meant for their experience at the college.
