Symposium "Writing, Living, and Teaching Exile"

This two day conference will include theoretical approaches, periodization, discursive representation, as well as individual figures and institutions, authors, alliances, partnering organizations, publications (presses and periodicals). Discussion will examine how the terms “émigré,” “relocation,” “migrant,” “refugee” and others shape the identity of those crossing borders. The conference will also feature a roundtable on teaching exile and migration as well as presentations by poets from Ukraine (via Zoom). The working language of the conference is English.
