Their Footprints Are Still Visible: Landscape, Stories, and Myaamia Language and Culture Revitalization

The first in a three-part lecture series, Geographies of Indigenous Peoples. George Ironstrack is a citizen of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and has assisted in the organization and administration of the Tribe’s Eewansaapita Summer Educational Experience since its inception in 2005. Ironstrack has participated in Myaamia language renewal projects for both his Tribe and Miami University since the mid-1990s. His talk will focus on geography and Myaamia history.
