Christine Rosen is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a columnist for Commentary, and a cohost of The Commentary Magazine Podcast. She is also a fellow at the University of Virginia’s Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture and a senior editor in an advisory role at The New Atlantis. Her previous positions include editor of In Character, managing editor of The Weekly Standard, and distinguished visiting scholar at the Library of Congress. Rosen is the author or coauthor of numerous books and essays, including The Extinction of Experience, translated into more than five languages and named a best book of 2024 by Esquire and of 2025 by the Telegraph. Her memoir, My Fundamentalist Education, was named one of the year’s best nonfiction books by the Washington Post. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, MIT Technology Review, Politico, and other publications. She has appeared widely on television and radio and has testified before Congress and the U.S. Secretary of Education’s Commission on Opportunity in Athletics.
