Sergiy Kostrikov, Geographer professor from Kharkiv, Ukraine and scholar-in-residence through the State Department's Bridge USA program and the Havighurst Center for East European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies, will talk about his experience working at Karazin University since the start of Russia's war on Ukraine.
Sergiy is an urban studies expert with a strong background in geographicalinformation systems (GIS), social and economic geography, and urban remotesensing (URS). His research focuses on integrating advanced technologies -particularly LiDAR - for high-precision urban monitoring and analysis. He is a Professor in the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies School of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine.
