Write an essay of up to 300 words on the following topic:
How has the study of another language and culture affected you? How has it shaped your thinking, your worldview, your attitude toward travel, your career options, or your self-awareness? Has it changed what you know or what you think you know? Has it influenced your engagement with others, your confidence, or your sense of duty to the world?
The contest is open to all Miami undergraduates who are taking or have taken a language course at Miami. You may write in English or in the language or languages you are learning.
Three winners will receive a $150 prize. Outstanding submissions may be featured on campus websites, posters, or print materials. Submit essay in link below!
