Revisiting several projects across the last few years, Winant will prompt: what makes an artwork feminist? Can photographs be effective, even radical, political agents? How and when do pictures fail us? And, how do we ethically work within and of communities that are not our own?
This talk is in conjunction with the Senior Art History exhibition Confronting Greatness: Celebrating Women Artists on view at the Miami University Art Museum and online.
