Coffee and Conversation with Julian Yates

Join Julian Yates for a Coffee and Conversation Hour before his Altman Lecture, "Noah's Arkive: Stories of Survival During Climate Catastrophe." Students and faculty are invited to talk about history narratives, environmental justice, graduate study, or anything else on their minds with Dr. Yates, H. Fletcher Brown Professor of English and Material Culture Studies at the University of Delaware. Coffee and cookies will be served.

Julian Yates is H. Fletcher Professor of English and Material Culture Studies at University of Delaware. His research focuses on Medieval and Renaissance literature and culture with a particular interest in questions of ecology, the post-human, and literary theory. He is currently at work on Noah’s Arkive: Towards an Ecology of Refuge, a study of the legacies of Noah’s Ark in contemporary accounts of global warming with Jeffrey J. Cohen.
