Coffee and Conversation with Sandra Steingraber

Join Sandra Steingraber for a Coffee and Conversation before her Altman Lecture, "To Sin by Silence: The Legacy of Rachel Carson in an Age of Climate Emergency." Students and faculty are invited to talk about Carson, environmental justice, graduate study, or anything else on their minds with Dr. Steingraber, Distinguished Scholar in Residence, Environmental Studies and Science at Ithaca College. Coffee and cookies will be served.

Sandra Steingraber is a biologist and Distinguished Scholar in Residence, Environmental Studies and Science at Ithaca College. She is an expert on the environmental links to cancer and reproductive health. Her book, Living Downstream: An Ecologist Looks at Cancer and the Environment, presents cancer as a human rights issue, bringing together data on toxic releases with data from U.S. cancer registries.
