Color Blind Literature: Fiction in the Age of Identity Politics

In his lecture, Dr. Bruno Chaouat will engage in current debates regarding the writing of fiction in the age of culture wars and identity politics.

Bruno Chaouat teaches French modern literature and thought at the University of Minnesota. His most recent books include L'homme trans (Paris, 2019), and "Out of This World: Gnostic Encounters in Modern Literature and Thought" (Liverpool, 2024). His book on French thought and the new antisemitism has just appeared in German translation. He is currently working on the influence of Russian emigres in early 20th century Paris and French theory and philosophy.
