Gandhi's Challenge to America: Reflections on James Lawson's Philosophy of Non-Violence

Annual Mahtma Gandhi Birthday Lecture

Rev. James Morris Lawson Jr. is a Gandhian and a colleague of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who called him "the leading theorist of nonviolence in the world." He is a tactician of non-violence in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. At age 93 he continues to be active to confront various forms of injustices. Presentation will include a short lecture by Rev. Lawson.
