Kendra Allen is the author of WHEN YOU LEARN THE ALPHABET, winner of the 2018 Iowa Prize for Literary Nonfiction, and a debut poetry collection, THE COLLECTION PLATE, published this year. Her writings have been published in Repeller, Southwest Review, Frontier and The Rumpus.
Hosted by the Creative Writing Program and the English Department, this event is part of the 2021-2022 McComb Reading Series on race, craft and the imagination.
