This talk by Dr. Carey Hardin, Associate Director of the Humanities Center, will introduce humanities undergraduates to ways of getting involved with research projects in the humanities at Miami. Each year, the Humanities Center helps undergraduates get started with independent research. Path to Research sessions cover the nature of humanities research; benefits for career and graduate school; how to get started and be successful; how to win funding for your project; and how to take advantage of numerous Humanities Center programs (including workshops, fellowships, and apprenticeships) to support you in your research journey.
