"Rethinking Porkopolis" is an exhibition about how pigs and pork packing shaped the environment of Cincinnati and Southwest Ohio during the 1800s and connected the region to the cotton economy of the Deep South. The exhibition will be on display in the Cage Gallery of Alumni Hall through September.
Robert Gioielli, assistant professor of history at University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College, will open the exhibition with a talk on his work, an environmental history of Cincinnati through pigs.
