Please join us for our next meeting of Societies, Politics, and Economies (SPE)--an informal seminar space where faculty from different departments and at different stages of their careers can come together to discuss a colleague’s research project over lunch (lunch provided for anyone who RSVPs one week prior). It will take place on Thursday, April 3 in Upham 243. We will discuss Steve Conn's "Doppelgangers: Anarchism, Libertarianism, and Henry David Thoreau in the 1960s." The paper will be available one week prior.
We welcome any interested faculty to attend. We encourage you to think broadly about the group’s themes--societies, politics, and economies—and hope that some of you will be interested in sharing your own work in the coming semesters. Above all, we are enthusiastic about making connections with other faculty’s research. Presentations can take any form—pre-circulated paper, conference-style talks, research discussion, etc. Please email Lindsay regelels@miamioh.edu and Naaborle sackeyn@miamioh.edu if you are interested in presenting in the future (especially next semester!).
