The forum will be hosted by Erik Jensen, Professor of History. The topic is “The End of Reading?” The forum will focus on the changes and challenges in student reading. A continued conversation from Professor Jensen's research cluster: The Reading Project.
Forum participants are encouraged to read Rose Horowitch's article The Age of Reading Is Over.
Sandwiches, vegetarian and turkey, will be provided to faculty members who RSVP to humanitiesinstitute@miamioh.edu by 3 p.m. Friday, November 13th. You are welcome to bring your own lunch, if that is your preference.
The Humanities Faculty Lunch Forum meets once per month to discuss topics of general interest, such as trends in higher education, questions of policy, emerging fields of study, curriculum, teaching challenges, and issues related to career stage.
