Daniel Ziblatt is Eaton Professor of Government at Harvard University. His 2018 book How Democracies Die, that he co-authored with Steve Levitsky, was a New York Times best-seller. It was translated into twenty-two languages. His other books include Conservative Parties and the Birth of Democracy and Structuring the State: Italy, Germany, and the Puzzle of Federalism. In recent years Ziblatt has been a fellow or visiting professor at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy), Center for Advanced Study (Stanford), Max Planck Institute (Cologne), University of Munich, and the Ecole Normale Superieure (Paris).
