Primo Levi, Italian Jewish chemist, partisan, and writer, is famous all over the world for the books he wrote about his experience in Auschwitz. He also wrote about chemistry in his book Il sistema periodico (The Periodic Table, 1975). The talk takes into consideration the critique to the notion of purity in this book, making reference to the Italian contemporary reflection on biopolitics and post-humanism.
