Steve Conn, Professor of History, has recently been working with the "Picturing Black History Project." A collaboration between Origins: Current Events in Historical Perspectives Magazine and Getty Images, the website seeks to uncover untold stories and rarely seen images of the Black experience, providing new context around culturally-significant moments by bringing them into view. The website, which was launched last Saturday to mark Juneteenth, can be found here. It will be built out with more articles and photos in the coming months.
