Neil Brenner, an urban theorist at Harvard University, spoke at Shriver Center as part of the 2017-18 John W. Altman Program in the Humanities. This year's program theme is Urban Theories.
Brenner offered a number of new ways to look at what constitutes a city, including their unseen infrastructures and further-flung locations where resources are extracted so that the city might thrive.
College of Arts & Sciences communications intern Mackenzie Rossero wrote an article about the talk.
