Daniel Prior, Associate Professor of History at Miami and the recipient of a Humanities Center Digital Fellowship, and his project Early Modern Kyrgyz Oral-derived Narrative Sources (EMKONS) have received a Collaborative Research Grant from National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The EMKONS project primarily consists of a two-week workshop in the manuscript archives of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek in the summer of 2022 and will lead to subsequent publications. The Humanities Center Digital Fellowship helped lead to the development of this project, and the EMKONS digital platform, created with funding from the Digital Fellowship, will be launched soon.
