The Humanities Center held a Faculty Forum for the discussion of issues facing humanities faculty. One of the most important activities of the center, the Forum helps to create a sense of common purpose and connectedness among our 100 Faculty Affiliates. Gathering to discuss issues of common interest has led to new teaching partnerships, research collaborations, and programs. It also provided an important way to develop coordinated responses to internal and external pressures. Recent Forums have addressed the promotion of the humanities, revision of university requirements, enhancing undergraduate research, and preserving graduate education in a tough fiscal climate.
