As university’s are noticing declining enrollment in humanities courses, the business world is feeling the effects. Humanities courses train students in developing robust problem-solving strategies and critical thinking skills that are highly transferable outside the specialized humanities classroom. These skills are in demand and attractive to prospective employers, but, while many employers are looking for these qualities, they simply “aren’t getting them from graduates who major in narrower fields.”
