Each year, the alumni association honors a distinguished group of graduates with its "18 of the last 9" award. This year's honorees include a number of students who graduated with degrees in creative writing, architecture, Spanish, and other humanities majors. Many of them have distinguished themselves in business, public service, and education.

When asked to name one thing she would change about her college experience, Sami Schalk '08 said, "I would have attended more lectures and events. I didn't often take advantage of some of the incredible performers and academics who came to speak on campus."
